This event was originally scheduled for April 17th.
Coordinated by Drs. Jean-Luc OUHIOUN and Frédéric CHALAS
Dr. Antonin HENNEQUIN, Professor Florent DESTRUHAUT, Dr. Jean-Claude COMBADAZOU
Neuromuscular occlusion focuses on the study of muscle function. The inter-arch relationship is functional when the masticatory muscles contract correctly. But beyond this dental relationship, the position of the cephalic extremity and overall posture must be taken into consideration by any clinician involved in oral rehabilitation.
During this training day, the speakers will review the fundamental principles of occlusal diagnosis, emphasizing the importance of the initial interview and clinical examination. In the second part, complementary examinations such as surface electromyography, electronic recording of mandibular movements, and stabilometry will be presented didactically through numerous clinical cases.
Using clinical cases related to dentofacial orthopedics, the speakers will try to demonstrate the importance of this occlusal approach, which Japanese orthodontist colleagues have fully integrated into their practice.
