Dr. Steffen Decker
DES in orthodontics from the University of Freiburg (Germany), DES in lingual orthodontics from the University of Basel (Switzerland), director of the Orthodontic Specialist Clinic and Academy in Amersham (United Kingdom), scientific advisor to the Kois Center in Seattle (United Kingdom) for orthodontics and the respiratory tract, passionate about early interceptive orthodontic treatments.
Since malocclusions often develop during critical stages of dental growth, the use of Aligner Therapy at a young age can help guide proper dental and skeletal development.
By adopting a preventative approach with these treatments, orthodontists can not only improve patient care, but also foster a proactive dental health culture, thus minimizing the need for corrective procedures in the future.
We will present evidence-based strategies for implementing preventive treatment plans, highlighting their effectiveness in creating space, improving occlusion, and enhancing overall dental aesthetics. Case selection criteria, treatment protocols, and the digital workflow associated with Angel Aligner will be presented. Case studies will demonstrate successful preventive interventions, showcasing positive outcomes achieved in diverse patient populations.

Molar and incisor hypomineralization is a major problem.
Through clinical cases, 13 key aspects of this enamel pathology will be addressed. From diagnosis to treatment planning, the points that raise questions will be presented:
What are the causes of MIH? Should hypomineralized enamel be preserved? What restorative material and adhesive system should be chosen? Should a direct or indirect restoration method be preferred? Does pulp involvement compromise the tooth's prognosis in the dental arch? Can treatments to maintain pulp vitality be considered in cases of MIH? How are hypersensitivity phenomena treated? Can preventive strategies be offered to patients?
Dr. Ivanka COUDREAU
Former AHUA in Pediatric Dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry of Marseille, CES in pedodontics, DU in sedation, specialized in prophylaxis, private practice in Vitrolles.
To date, 80% of new patients who come to my practice have MIH, more than 50% of which are severe forms requiring complex management.
Our role is crucial, both for pediatric dentists and orthodontists. Early detection, the implementation of preventive measures and appropriate care, with regular follow-up, are the keys to success.
I am happy to share with you my experiences, certainly not always easy, but exciting over time.
